Connor Shortt

I'm a 25 year old drummer from Berkshire and have been playing drums and percussion for more than fifteen years.  I teach kit with the Rock Project in Oxfordshire, provide one on one lessons (including music theory and composition for GCSEs).  I am available for freelance depping and studio work. I specialise in Rock, Grunge, Metal, Hip-hop and Soul.

I am the drummer for two bands - Black Emerald, our album 'Hell Can't Handle All of Us' was released in 2018. I also drum and sing backing vox for InAir, an alt-rock band from Reading. Our first EP, 'A Different Light' received great reviews from Kerrang and a host of magazines and blogs.  Our sophomore EP 'Dreamful' was released last September; we have so far released two singles form it, which can be watched below.

I have a Degree in Music Performance (BMus) from the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, having been taught by the likes of Frank Tontoh (Amy Winehouse, Jack Bruce, Brother Strut) and Pete Riley (Republica, Guthrie Govan and Phil Hilbourne).

I am a member of the Musician's Union and have appropriate Liability Insurance and enhanced DBS in place. I have my own equipment, transport (car and 7-seater crew van) and a friendly, professional attitude.  I am available for depping, studio work, general freelancing and teaching - please contact me if you have any requirements.
